Guardall IT400 Digital Safe Lock
These locks have a user code and a master override/reset code.
The wrong code counter is not stored on the Eeprom, so it must be stored on the IC chip.
This means you can have up to 3 tries then remove a battery then reconnect and have another 3 tries as many times as you like, because the IC chip has volatile memory.
If you let it go into penalty mode this is recorded on the eeprom, then you must leave the batteries connect for the timer to count down otherwise when the lock boots up and reads the Eeprom it will see that it is in penalty mode and starts the timer again.
The Eeprom chip is a Phillips S130 chip.
